2020 Popcorn Program
Face it parents: we grew up in a different time. As kids, nothing was handed to us. We either worked or helped to earn our rewards: money, an activity with friends, or something we wanted. Scouting still believes in and stands for the core value of earning!

Benefits to Your Scout and Family:
  • Teaches Scouts the value & process of setting and working toward goals
  • Gives Scouts a strong sense of accomplishment through recognition
  • Enhances communication, leadership skills and confidence in your Scout
  • Scouts can earn valuable rewards including gift cards and prizes
  • Scouts can earn their own way in the scouting program
Benefits to the Pack:

The popcorn sale is Pack 29's major fundraising for the year.  Most of the operations for the pack for an entire year are covered including:
  • Annual Scout Registration Fee
  • Food & Supplies for Campouts
  • Awards
  • Pinewood Derby Kits
  • Den Expenses
  • Arrow of Light Ceremony
  • Blue & Gold Banquet
  • Annual Leader Registration Fee
  • Leader Training and Materials
  • Operational Supplies & Equipment (including this website)
  • Popcorn Pie Thowing Event

Sales Minimum:

Each scout is asked to sell $350 worth of popcorn. This helps eliminate "nickel and diming" fees throughout the year.  Concerned about selling this much popcorn?  It's really not too difficult, but if feel free to contact Jimmy Cox (cubmaster@pack29auburn.com) for more details.  You can always opt-out of popcorn by writing a check to the Pack for $175.

Ways to Sell:

Take Orders
  • The Scout with his Akela goes door to door with a Take Order Form.  Take Order Forms will provided during the Popcorn Kickoff. To help with social distancing, the Pack is also providing door hanger to promote door-to-door sales and your Scouts web link.
  • The customer writes his/her order and contacts the scout's Akela to place order.  We are requiring that money is required at time of sale.
  • The Scout processes the order and delivers the Popcorn to the Customer when the popcorn arrives with adhering to social distancing rules
  • All orders must be entered on the Campmaster website  by the deadline.
Selling at Work
  • Mom and/or Dad take an order form to their work.
  • Fellow co-workers write their order on the order form.
  • Mom and/or Dad deliver product and collect the money when the popcorn arrives.  We are requiring that money is required at time of sale.
  • All orders must be entered on the Campmaster website  by the deadline.
