Snow Tubing Winter Trip

posted Dec 17, 2018, 7:30 AM by Cubmaster Pack 29   [ updated Dec 17, 2018, 7:38 AM ]

Pack 29 will travel to Snow Mountain at Stone Mountain Park on Saturday, January 26, 2019.  Snow Mountain is Atlanta's favorite winter destination with a 400-foot snow-covered tubing hill and an enormous snowy play area. Race each other down the slopes on Tube Runners or brave the hill together in family-sized tubes on Avalanche Alley. It's all about the cold stuff in the SnowZone—a winter wonderland full of real snow where you'll find Penguin Run and Little Angels—the perfect spots for small ones just starting to find their snow legs.

There is a $20/car parking fee. Families are encouraged to carpool if possible!

Uniform for this trip will be Class B.

We will gather as a group @ 12:45pm (EST) at the entrance to Snow Mountain. Please be early  we have to enter as a group!  We will have 2 hours to play in the snow. You are welcome to get there earlier if you wish. All food and other attractions will be at your expense. There are hotels and yurt rentals if any families choose to spend the night.

After our two hours of playing in the snow we will hike to the top of the mountain for those who are interested.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you pay attention to the weather for this trip. It could be very cold or not cold at all. You will be outside during this event.....coats, hats, gloves, etc will be necessary. It might be a good idea to pack dry clothes for everyone, since we will be playing in the snow!
