Christmas Parade & Party

We'll kick off our Christmas celebrations with the Auburn Christmas Parade on Thursday, December 11.  The parade starts at 5:00pm in downtown Auburn and typically lasts about an hour.  See below for details.  Then, on Friday, we'll get together for a Christmas Party.  We're going to hang out in the AUMC Annex and watch a movie with some snacks.  We'll also collect toys for the Auburn Toy Drive.  See below for details on the Christmas Party on Friday. 

Christmas Parade - Thursday (Dec 11)
  • Uniform: Class A (Don't bring a hat - we'll provide a special one.)
  • Meet at 4:30 at float. Check your scout in.  (Hint: Use bathroom first.)  Float will be in line with other parade floats on either Mell or Thatch near the Auburn University library.  Look for the big red canoe float.
  • Once your scout is checked in, he must stay on float until the parade ends.
  • Parade Starts at 5:00 and lasts about one hour.
  • Meet at either Mell or Thatch after the parade to get your scout. We will likely not be in the same spot, but look for us.
Christmas Party - Friday, (Dec 12)
  • Uniform: Comfortable clothes (even pajamas if you want)
  • Starts at 7:00pm  and will be held in the AUMC Annex Social Hall (where Pinewood Derby is).  The party will end around 9:00pm.
  • We'll be gathering for snacks and a movie (The LEGO Movie).  The Pack is providing popcorn, utensils, cups, etc.  We're asking you to bring something to share!  This is NOT dinner, but dessert.  So eat first.  Please bring the following per the first letter of your last name:
A-F: Sweets
G-O: Soft drinks (2 liters)
P-Z: Salty snack foods
  • At the party we will enjoy the food and the movie, but we'll also present toys collected to the Auburn Fire Department for the Auburn Toy Drive, so be sure to bring a new unwrapped toy.
  • We'll also be hanging out on the floor as we watch the movie, so you should bring some type of blanket or something to relax on. (Chairs will be available for adults.)
  • We do have some den assignments for the party, similar to Pack Meetings:
Setup (Arrive at 6:30): Den 5 (Wikle)
Serving (Arrive at 6:50): Den 4 (Stanley)
                Cleanup: Den 6 (Scott), Den 7 (Dagg), Den 10 (O'Gwynn)
